CMBC Bus Fleet

Coast Mountain Bus Company’s current fleet of more than 1,300 buses includes:

 

  • 650 40’ diesel buses, many of which are equipped with particulate reducing muffler systems
  • 75 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses
  • 187 new low floor trolleys (more on order for 2009), 40 new low floor articulated trolleys
  • 145 Community Shuttles
  • 84 Orion highway coaches
  • 133 articulated diesel buses (115 of this fleet are low floors)
  • 2 hybrids (more on order for 2009)
Recent enhancements to the system include:

  • All buses are accessible, only 232 high floor lift equipped buses remain, the rest are low floor
  • All old trolley buses have been taken out of service
  • All buses are bike racked equipped
  • All diesel buses are running on Biodiesel
